This route covers spouses/de facto partners of Critical Skills, NCHD multi-site General Employment Permit, Hosting Agreement researcher, General Employment Permit, Reactivation Permit or Intra-Company Transfer permit holders.

Use current valid passports for both people.

Relevant permit of your spouse/de facto partner
Employment permit, Hosting Agreement or other qualifying permission evidence for the person you are joining.
Required first time
Private medical insurance or travel insurance with medical cover
Must cover accidents and medical incidents, including hospital stays in Ireland. The original policy document should be in your name and valid for 12 months, or for the duration of your stay if shorter.
If applicable
Proof of continuing de facto partner relationship
ISD examples include marriage certificate, de facto visa/preclearance letter or a de facto permission letter from the Department.
